1983-1988 Was the Turkish correspondent for The Hollwood Reporter.

Worked as stills photographer and assistant director in 24 feature films.

Was the President of the Turkish Directors' Guild (FİLMYÖN).
January 2003 Elected President of the Association of Film Directors, Writers & Composers (SETEM).
